Sara-Jane Charles is a British film director, author, photographer and musician - a multi-hyphernate.
She is known for her film and editorial work.
​
Sara-Jane began her career as a photographer before moving into film and advertising. She has shot on set for major film productions and has worked with Emily Lloyd, Simon Callow, Kathleen Turner, Emily Blunt, Bill Nighy, Rupert Grint, Eileen Atkins, Julian Barratt, Essie Davis, Simon Pegg, David Schwimmer, and more. Her advertising work includes campaigns for musicians, sports individuals and companies, and press photos for film festivals, book launches and more.

Sara-Jane's film footage is part of Sir Ridley Scott's 'Britain in a Day' Project archive, with her film directing debut being "One Small Camera" starring Guy Martin, Michael Dunlop and Conor Cummins, was shown to great acclaim at Festival. She also had an Assistant Director role on the major feature film production 'Mindhorn', with the scene she directed making the final edit.

Sara-Jane's literary work has been published in a book, that was launched at Waterstones bookstore, and her images have been exhibited at galleries and published in a coffee table book of art photography.

Sara-Jane has a love of technology having originated, produced and presented her own successful tech and movie show 'Beyond Gadgets'.
​
Sara is increasingly sought out by creatives and her portfolio is ever increasing with prestigious clientele; expanding her creativity with the best.
​
Sara-Jane's striking cinematic style of composition and lighting was cultivated as a reportage photographer working behind the scenes on feature films where she learnt lighting techniques from observing great cinematographers in their craft.
